The autumn and winter 2006, I worked in Plavinas in Latvia as commissioning manager for ALSTOM Power. The task was to commission a new control system, excitation system, generator protection, AC and DC distribution panels for three units (G6, G9 and G10).
During the spring 2006 I worked in La Estrella and Los Valles in Panamá commissioning turbine governors and modifying old ASEA control systems. GE Hydro was main contractor. One unit (G1) in each station was refurbished, new runner, new oil pressure system and new turbine governor. I was also electrical erection supervisor.
