During the FCR project, frequency response tests have been carried out on 8 different units of both Kaplan and Francis type.
Using Matlab and System Identification Toolbox, transfer functions for servo system and turbine/waterways were derived. With these transfer functions available it was then possible to do simulations showing the possibilities for a unit to meet SVK requirements for the different FCR services. A report was written and send to SVK.
