AES Panama has decided to install efficiency monitoring systems in the power plant La Estrella and Los Valles, totally 4 units, and the project has been rewarded to HydroCon.
The system calculates turbine flow (Winter Kennedy) and efficiency. It is implemented in a Siemens controller and also includes small HMI. It was designed by HydroCon and build by IETV.
